Engels Transitions from Real Estate Agent to Credit Union Real Estate Loan Officer
Brookings, SD - April 13, 2017 Danielle (Dani) Engels turned her real estate broker experience into a new home with Dakotaland Federal Credit Union. Engels recently accepted a Real Estate Loan Officer position at the Brookings Branch and she intends to resume her positive influence on the real estate market in Brookings and the surrounding area. “Dakotaland had created a solid working rapport with Dani over the years as a local Realtor and when the opportunity came to bring her expertise in-house, we jumped at the prospect”, commented Brookings Branch Manager, Chad Moller.
During her past employment with Best Choice Real Estate and Re/Max on the Move, Dani gained a very unique perspective, which many loan officers may not have. “I feel the quality of the relationship between your financial institution and your Realtor can make or break the home buying and mortgage experience for a buyer. I look forward to ensure that association works for our Dakotaland Members”, stated Engels. Along with her previous work experience, Dani also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business with a minor in Economics and Spanish from Northern State University in Aberdeen.
Engels is a South Dakota native and has been working in Brookings since 2006. In 2014, Dani and her husband, Curt (a Product Manager at Daktronics), built a new home and now take residence in Volga. Curt and Dani are the busy parents of son, Trystan (4) and 16 month old daughter, Tenley. The Engels family can be found spending their free time doing anything and everything outdoors, which includes hunting, camping and fishing. Dani also admits she can be easily persuaded to make time to host family and friends at home or for more relaxing things like baking, watching movies and reading.
Dakotaland Federal Credit Union has locations in Huron, Volga, Brookings, Madison, Redfield, DeSmet, Mitchell and Woonsocket. With 30,000 members and $300 million in assets, Dakotaland continues to be locally owned and operated offering a full-line of financial services to its membership since 1935.
