Ron Roy
Supervisory Board Member
Ron Roy became a member of the Credit Union (Armour Employees FCU) when he started working at Armours in 1979. At that time, the total assets of the Credit Union were less than $2 million dollars. In 1980, Ron ran for the Board, unfortunately, he lost, but he didn't give up and instead became a member of the Supervisory Committee that same year. The following year, Ron ran for the Board again, and this time he succeeded. He dedicated over 30 years of his life to the Board, serving in various positions, including Chairperson. After retiring from the Board, Ron rejoined the Supervisory Committee, where he still serves today. Throughout his time on the Board, Ron also worked at Armours, Swift Independent, and Dakota Pork. When the Plant closed, he continued his journey at James Valley Restoration, Riverside Manufacturing and finally Link Snacks Inc.
Ron and his wife, Laurie, are proud parents of five children, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. They are active members of Virgil United Methodist Church and find joy in spending quality time with their family, as well as cheering on their grandkids in their sports activities.
