Asleson Accepts Dakotaland Federal Credit Union Branch Manager Position

Dakotaland Federal Credit Union has filled the position of Branch Manager at the De Smet location with De Smet native, Barb Asleson. Ms. Asleson has nearly seven years of credit union experience and is very dedicated to her hometown roots. “Barb has her members' best interest at heart and she truly cares about the future of Dakotaland and De Smet. We are pleased to have this kind of dedication in a management position”, claimed Dakotaland President, Dan Cumbee.

Asleson began her career with Dakotaland Federal Credit Union prior to the building of the new facility working in Teller and Member Services. Barb was involved in the move to the new location and soon took on additional responsibilities in the lending area. In addition, Ms. Asleson has been a strong representative for the credit union and a solid advocate for her community. “It’s truly an honor to represent Dakotaland, but also to do it in the community I call home. The integrity of the credit union has motivated me to help our members preserve and protect what they have worked so hard for”, stated Asleson.

Barb graduated from De Smet High School and attended Dakota State University in Madison. In 2002 she earned a double degree in Business Management and Marketing. Ms. Asleson enjoys spending her free-time shopping, exercising, watching movies, helping out at her church and time with family and friends. One of her favorite opportunities is to volunteer at her children’s classrooms and activities. Barb and her husband, Shon, have three children; Kyler (23), Alyssa (11) and Avery (5).
