Heathcote Promoted to Watertown Branch Manager

Watertown, South Dakota - October 1, 2018 Dakotaland Federal Credit Union announced the promotion of Laura Heathcote to Branch Manager of the Watertown Branch. Heathcote is a Watertown native and accepted a supervisory position with the credit union when it initially opened the location in June of this year. Laura has proven to have the right mix of experience and community commitment Dakotaland was hoping to find for this leadership position. “We are pleased with the reception and growth we are experiencing in Watertown and we feel Laura will embrace and expand on this unique opportunity”, commented Dakotaland Federal Credit Union President, Dan Cumbee.

Ms. Heathcote has worked in the financial industry for the past eight years in the Watertown community. She dedicated three of those years, to First Dakota Title in Watertown and managed Grue Abstract Title Company in Webster SD. Laura is a strong community supporter and admits she is looking forward to working more directly with the Watertown community and its many events in her new position as Branch Manager. “I’m very excited for this opportunity with Dakotaland and to provide top notch financial services to Watertown and our surrounding communities”, claims Heathcote. She is also interested in sharing her passion for exceptional customer service and making her credit union members a top priority.

As a Watertown Senior High School graduate, Laura is a ‘forever’ Arrows supporter and proudly wore an Arrows jersey participating in high school athletics. Laura currently lives on an acreage just outside of Watertown with her husband, Javon. She spends her free time with family, friends and her dog, Bonnie. During the summer months you can find the Heathcote family at the lake or on the golf course. Laura is also an avid Wisconsin Badgers fan.
